Just for the record I take these reviews very seriously and if a business doesn't live up to expectations then I want to make sure others know so they can be aware for their own purposes. And vice-versa if a business goes above and beyond i feel they should be recognized and I will try to tell as many people as I know to frequent that particular business. Date of service August 19, 2026. I decided to take my car for the first time to New Lenox auto repair because I was referred to them by someone and some individuals on the New Lenox Fb page seem to think they run an honest, fair priced business that won't jack you around so I decided to give them a shot. I was greeted by Sean who was very down to earth and seemed like a genuinely good guy. I mentioned to him I just brought my vehicle somewhere else and they told me I needed a specific thing done. After inspection of my vehicle Sean told me that wasn't the case and that particular repair wasn't necessary but something else was. I took Sean's word for it and had the repair done. Sean was very patient with all of my questions and kept me updated on the status of my vehicle in a prompt fashion. All in all, I will give both Sean and New Lenox Auto Repair a solid grade as in looking for a good mechanic you look for many things such as reasonably priced, knowledgeable, professional and most importantly honesty. Sean and NLAR did a fine job and gave me no reason not to trust them so I would recommend this place for future visits and will give updates on future visits. You MUST be able to find a mechanic who is HONEST and hopefully that will be the case moving forward with New Lenox Auto Repair. Thanks Sean.

I had been having repeated issues with the timing and VCT solenoids on my 2018 F150. Sean was able to fix the problem initially, but it came back twice. Each time he stood by the warranty and took the time to diagnose and fix the issue, with this last time installing upgraded parts at no extra cost to me. The shop does good work and has even better people working there.
